Emerging data shows that violence against women has intensified since the outbreak of COVID-19, according to UN Women. In solidarity, Salma Hayek Pinault, CHIME FOR CHANGE and the Kering Foundation #StandWithWomen worldwide to stop this increase in gender-based violence.

Building on its ongoing efforts to help fight the COVID-19 outbreak, Gucci, through its CHIME FOR CHANGE initiative, and the Kering Foundation have joined forces for #StandWithWomen, a new campaign to expand funding for nonprofit organizations on the frontlines of supporting women and girls around the world, specifically addressing gender-based violence during the COVID-19 pandemic.

We stand in solidarity with women everywhere because we cannot risk the progress we have made in the long fight for gender equality” said CHIME FOR CHANGE Co-Founder and KERING FOUNDATION Board Director Salma Hayek Pinault who announced today the #StandWithWomen campaign to fight gender-based violence. CHIME FOR CHANGE and KERING FOUNDATION are supporting nonprofit partners Chayn Italia, Equality Now, Global Fund for Women, Elas, HER, Mediterranean Women's Fund, Semillas, Ms. Foundation for Women and Rosa Fund who are responding to increased violence against women during the COVID-19 pandemic.
