A new narrative begins as the House partners with Yuga Labs, entering its gamified metaverse.
Following curiosity, Gucci steps into a space where anything is possible, a virtual place created by Yuga Labs that is steeped in intriguing stories, surprising wonders, and captivating characters—Otherside. Only time will tell how the House’s narrative will take shape, however it begins with Otherside Relics by Gucci. The first curio is multifaceted — a necklace crafted by Gucci in the physical world that presents itself as a metadata upgrade for Koda or Vessel NFT holders, the result of an encounter between a mysterious gold Voyager and Blue, one of the protagonist Kodas (primal beings of Otherside).
After a meteor shower hits Otherside, striking the Obelisk, which is a sacred object for the Kodas, Blue begins to craft pendants out of the shards and give them to others as a memento of their origins. Having witnessed Blue’s creativity, an anonymous golden Voyager approaches him with an intriguing proposition: if Blue will agree to teach the golden Voyager to master Otherside magic, the voyager will teach Blue to craft myriad exquisite items. As a gesture of goodwill, the Voyager presents Blue with the chains from which the KodaPendants can hang.
A metaphor played out in the metaverse for the House’s new journey with Yuga Labs, the first installment of this story becomes just a hint at the immersive experiences to arise at the intersection of fashion, entertainment, and technology.
The snapshot for the claim of the physical KodaPendant will occur on June 21 at 10 a.m. EDT. Afterwards, Koda or Vessel Holders with the KodaPendant metadata trait whose wallets were captured in the snapshot, will be able to claim the Gucci Jewelry necklace from June 21 12 p.m. EDT until July 6 12 p.m. EDT on the dedicated webpage.
