The fundraising benefit for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City has returned to the event’s traditional first Monday in May slot. For the inauguration of the second part of this year’s two-part exhibition ‘In America: An Anthology of Fashion’—open until September 5, 2022—Alessandro Michele was inspired by the year’s ‘Gilded Glamour’ theme.
To celebrate the event, a special Gucci Podcast created in partnership with SHUT UP EVAN—a bi-weekly podcast hosted by writer, podcast host, and social media commentator Evan Ross Katz—features celebrity stylists Kate Young, Elizabeth Stewart, and duo Wayman and Micah, as they unpack what happens in the lead up to the red carpet, this year’s theme and the looks designed by Alessandro Michele.
