Christie’s looks at the Made-to-Treasure Collector’s items by Vault.
In the Gucci Archive in Florence, Rachel Koffsky, international head of handbags and accessories at Christie's, chronicles how the House’s history is expressed through the details of exceptional vintage finds, and how Vault expands upon that heritage with its Made-to-Treasure Collector’s items. Curated by the House’s archivists, select vintage pieces are reimagined in novel ways by the artisans in Gucci ArtLab to begin a new chapter. These one-of-a-kind pieces include a late-1960s Gucci suitcase transformed into a picnic set with Gucci Décor items.
