From Elton John to ice skaters, Alessandro Michele merged disparate inspirations for the Spring Summer 2018 fashion show held in Milan
Revealed in the multiple influences was a shoulder bag printed with Guccy in a font style like Sega, the entertainment and arcade game company popular in the 80s. Tracksuits with graphic inserts and gowns reminiscent of ice skater outfits were studded with crystals. Sir Elton John’s stage costumes from the 70s designed by Bob Mackie, Annie Reavey and Mr Freedom inspired a special lineup including a harlequin checked jacket and a sequin detailed violet dress.
