Unveiling a special Art Wall on Teshima Island and ‘Mikan: Myself, Incomplete’ an exhibition by the artist.
In celebration of the 2025 edition of the Setouchi Triennale International Art Festival, Gucci becomes the first fashion House to support the event as an official partner with a special collaboration with artist Tadanori Yokoo. The first phase of the collaboration saw the opening of a special exhibition, ‘Mikan: Myself, Incomplete.’ On display at Gucci Ginza Gallery in Tokyo, the show displays signature pieces from Yokoo’s collection as well as a selection of new works.
Alongside the exhibition, the House also unveiled ‘Unfinished Scaffolds’, a special Art Wall by Yokoo on the island of Teshima in the Setouchi region. The island is also known to be the home of Yokoo House, the artist’s museum, and one of the festival’s official locations.
Together, both the exhibition and Art Wall invite visitors to experience Yokoo's enduring artistic philosophy: the essence of creativity lies in the incomplete.
