La nuova campagna Gucci Pre-Fall 2018 trasporta un'eclettica tribù di giovani sognatori nel maggio del '68, durante il risveglio studentesco nella capitale francese. Gli scatti in bianco e nero di Glen Luchford, contraddistinti da uno stile documentaristico, sono intrisi dello stesso spirito di cambiamento dell'epoca.
La nuova campagna Gucci Pre-Fall 2018 mette in scena l'occupazione degli studenti in un campus universitario. Animati da ottimismo, idealismo e passione, i protagonisti rievocano la grande mobilitazione studentesca alla Sorbonne nel maggio del '68. Il cambiamento giovanile proposto da Gucci prende le sembianze di una rivoluzione romantica: i giovani rivoluzionari recitano i versi del poeta simbolista Rimbaud e si ritrovano al grido di Liberté, Egalité, Sexualité. Il video della campagna è un richiamo allo stile audace, sperimentale e iconoclasta dei registi francesi della Nouvelle Vague a cavallo tra gli anni '50 e '60.
