A Journey through Time and Heritage
At the West Bund Art Center in Shanghai from April 28 - June 25, a series of eight immersive worlds conceived and designed by Es Devlin will showcase a special selection from the Gucci Archive curated by Maria Luisa Frisa.
The itinerant exhibition marks the first time the House's most iconic archival pieces will travel outside of Florence, portraying the heritage-infused narrative crafted over the last 102 years around the world.

PORTALS
Revolving around the spirit of travel that has defined the House since 1921, luggage from past and present come together in a continuous loop.
ZOETROPE
A historic cinematic mechanism animates the equestrian heritage of the House, portrayed through the emblematic Horsebit and Web.
EDEN
Inspired by the Flora print created in 1966, a larger-than-life garden reflects the House's longstanding fascination with nature.
TWO
A set of statues stage a dialogue on how fashion defines the body and vice versa through the House's variations on sartorial silhouettes.
ARCHIVIO
A labyrinth that winds through the history of the House's most iconic handbags, reminiscent of the Gucci Archive's organization in Palazzo Settimanni.
CABINET OF WONDERS
A pulsing constellation of artefacts portraying the House's full design range, as well as how these objects persist in the memory of fashion.
CAROUSEL
A fashion show and a dance across time presenting decade-defining looks from the House's Creative Directors.
DUOMO
A reflection of Florence's Santa Maria del Fiore cathedral dome becomes an ode to the House's past, present, and future.
A PIECE OF HISTORY
From contemporary items displayed in Gucci Cosmos to archive-inspired designs that recall the historic pieces found throughout the exhibition, the House has curated a selection of items that continue the dialogue between past and present in today's wardrobe.
