A look inside the House’s archive within the historic Palazzo Settimanni in Florence.
Along Florence’s Via delle Caldaie lies the 15th century Palazzo Settimanni. A historic building located in the city’s Santo Spirito neighborhood, commonly referred to as ‘Oltrarno,’ it was first acquired by Gucci in 1953 as factory and workshop and subsequently transformed into the House’s showroom.

In 2021, Gucci celebrated its centenary in its founding city by restoring the historic location into the new Archive, providing a rich narrative of the House’s history, heritage, and craftsmanship. Spread across three floors and featuring more than 30,000 Gucci objects, the Archive demonstrates a captivating exploration of the House’s quintessential design legacy.
