One-of-a-kind Bamboo 1947 handbags reveal the House’s exploration of craftsmanship alongside a special exhibition.
With its distinctive form and signature bamboo handle, the Gucci Bamboo 1947 handbag has long symbolized the House's approach to craftsmanship. Celebrating the silhouette’s enduring legacy, the House reveals a series of fifteen unique bags, created in collaboration with artisans. Showcasing a unique approach to craftsmanship, the selection approaches the Gucci Flora pattern through varied techniques, from intricate embroidery to three-dimensional patchwork featuring a plethora of bead, rhinestone, and sequin embellishments.
The limited-edition designs will be launched alongside an exhibition at Gucci Ginza Gallery. Titled ‘A Tale of Bamboo,’ the exhibition traces the evolution of the House’s bamboo craftsmanship, inviting guests to explore contemporary and archival creations of the Bamboo 1947 and Gucci Diana handbags.
