The collection by Alessandro Michele that showed in the Théâtre Le Palace in Paris was a homage to the theatre, which Alessandro Michele described as being a “haven of beauty” while the world outside its doors was chaos. Looks paid tribute to Dolly Parton—her image appearing on some pieces, and featured hats influenced by a design worn by singer songwriter Janis Joplin. Men’s cross body bags crafted in leather featured the Horsebit hardware and interlocking G with a tiger head inspired by a vintage Hattie Carnegie brooch, and sneakers were embellished with the Web stripe and gold crystals. During the show, Jane Birkin sang ‘Baby Alone in Babylone’ from her album of the same name.
