From April 15, 2010 through February 28, 2011, Gucci will donate 25% of the retail price from the "Gucci for UNICEF" special edition Sukey bag, now available in Gucci stores in over 20 countries worldwide.
To mark the 6th year of the Gucci partnership with UNICEF, creative director Frida Giannini has designed the special edition bag in grey La Pelle Guccissima. The funds raised will support UNICEF’s "Schools for Africa" programs in Malawi and Mozambique, where nearly one million children have been orphaned by the HIV/AIDS pandemic.
With the launch of the third consecutive "Gucci for UNICEF" yearlong
campaign, Gucci is proud to expand its commitment to UNICEF programs
that support orphans and children affected by HIV/AIDS in Sub-Saharan Africa.

"Schools for Africa" is a joint initiative established in 2004
by UNICEF, the Nelson Mandela foundation and the Hamburg society to
promote education for all children in Africa – including girls, children
orphaned by HIV/AIDS, and children living in extreme poverty.
