Gucci announces ITALIAN CINEMA VISIONARIES, a screening series of restored Italian films from Gucci’s growing collection of titles restored through the work of The Film Foundation.

Inspired by its 90-year heritage as an iconic brand, Gucci celebrates the creativity of the past as inspiration for the future.  It is the hallmark of the company’s ‘Forever Now’ philosophy – and the foundation for Gucci’s commitment to preserving the work of artists and their legacies.   

There is no more powerful way to make clear the preservation message than to provide audiences with the opportunity to experience restored cinematic masterpieces firsthand.

MICHELANGELO ANTONIONI (Le Amiche, 1955)
the Italian master filmmaker who helped to create a modern cinematic aesthetic

FEDERICO FELLINI (La Dolce Vita, 1960)
the internationally acclaimed director who began working in the neo-realist tradition and evolved to create his own bold, personal explorations

LUCHINO VISCONTI (Senso, 1954; Il Gattopardo, 1963)
the Marxist aristocrat whose influential films incorporated both the political preoccupations of neo-realism and the lush extravagances of melodrama
