Celebrating 90 Iconic Years

Gucci is pleased to introduce the 1921 Collection, an exclusive range of men’s and women’s ready to wear and accessories, conceived to celebrate the House’s 90th anniversary in 2011. 

“Throughout this year we are celebrating Gucci's anniversary in many different ways, and with this special commemorative collection I wanted to pay homage to the icons, craftsmanship and luxury materials for which the House has become renowned since its founding by Guccio Gucci in 1921," explained Creative Director Frida Giannini.  “Each item in the collection tells a story, representing a chapter within the House's rich narrative history."

The collection will carry a new trademark, G. GUCCI Firenze 1921, with a stamp appearing inside the accessories, on belt buckles and printed on metal travel tags.  Highlights of the 1921 collection include special editions of the New Bamboo, the New Jackie, and the Horsebit Chain handbags, produced in calfskin and crocodile, in dark brown, pink, khaki, cherry and bottle green.  Also in calfskin are two vintage-inspired men’s travel suitcases, embossed with the historic Diamante pattern.


The 1921 Collection will debut in select Gucci boutiques worldwide and on gucci.com from July.
