Located in the heart of Shanghai adjacent to Plaza 66, the Shanghai Flagship reflects the company’s continued commitment to the Chinese luxury marketplace. With Giannini’s singular design, the store offers a powerful and personal affirmation of Gucci’s growing Asian presence, and symbolizes Gucci’s 21st century contemporary look.

Giannini’s innovative concept employs open space, warm luxurious materials and natural light, emphasized by a massive 19 x 43 meter golden glass façade, to spectacular effect. This external sheet of transparent glass spans all five stories, letting natural light pour through the space while allowing views both inside and out. A noteworthy design feature is the staircase with a stunning series of vertical gold and clear Plexiglas rods, that allow light to reflect in the space.
