GUCCI LAUNCHES CHILDREN’S COLLECTION PLAYGROUND ON THE APP
AS DOWNLOADS SURPASS 800,000
With its unique App downloads surpassing 800,000, Gucci is pleased to announce the launch of a new interactive feature, the Children’s Collection Playground, which allows users to dress up virtual dolls, interacting with products from the new Gucci children's collection, as well as draw and color with a variety of templates. Available under the iPhone/iPad Exclusive section of the Gucci App, this new addition coincides with the debut of Gucci’s very first children’s collection designed by Creative Director Frida Giannini. Users will enjoy this exclusive as well as other content on the December update of the App.
Truly interactive, the “Play dress up” option offers a variety of
dolls and an extensive Gucci wardrobe from which to choose. Upon
completing dress-up, users may then select “design” to decorate their
doll’s environment by choosing a background, using a selection of
stamps, coloring free hand, adding various 3D Gucci teddy bears, or they
may opt to import a background from the saved images on their device.
Not only can users play dress up, but they may also select “Draw &
color” to create their own illustrations using templates including the
New Bamboo & New Jackie handbags, Gucci Teddy Bears, the Gucci Bike,
the Aquariva by Gucci, and Gucci Masters. To further personalize before
sharing, users can select to record a voice message, sign their name,
or provide a “fingerprint.” Sharing is available by e-mail, Facebook,
and Twitter.
In addition to the Gucci Children’s Collection
Playground, the December update of the Gucci App also includes content
on Gucci Eyewear, new videos and video sharing, and user interface
enhancements for iPad users.
The new children's collection -
represented by the iconic Gucci teddy bear - is divided into two age
ranges from 0 to 2 years and 2 to 8 years and will be available in
selected Gucci directly operated stores, department and specialty stores
from November onwards. The collection comprises apparel, shoes, small
leather goods, footwear (up to size 33) and selected accessories,
including jewelry, sunglasses, scarves and blankets.
