Since 1981 the china children and teenagers fund, cctf, has helped with
the education and welfare of children in china, especially those in
rural and ethnic minority areas. Gucci was delighted to support the good
work of cctf with a donation made in the year of the chinese olympics. The
gucci contribution was specifically to help children suffering from
amblyopia, a serious eye disease which results in poor binocular and
stereoscopic vision and can lead to blindness.
The radiant children’s eye hospital in beijing uses laser treatment to
cure amblyopia, with over 40,000 cases already successfully treated.
Gucci is proud to help support this work and delighted to have been
awarded the great honor of seeing the gucci name inscribed on the china
children’s charity monument, which stands at the great wall. Children
are the future, and everyone at gucci is thrilled to be part of the
future of china.
