Gucci Timepieces & Jewelry at Baselworld 2012
BASEL, March 8-15 – Gucci Timepieces & Jewelry is proud to be once again part of the leading world show in the luxury goods industry – Baselworld.
The 2012 World Watch and Jewelry Show is opening doors on March 8 (March 7 – Press Day), and its 160,000 square meters of exhibition area will be the launch platform for Gucci Timepieces & Jewelry’s latest collections.
As 2012 marks the 40th anniversary of Gucci Timepieces, the Bamboo collections crown this event with remarkable jewelry and watch lines specially designed by Creative Director Frida Giannini. Each piece is created individually, and as with the iconic Bamboo bag handles, is shaped and carved by hand by skilled artisans from natural bamboo.

Also to be launched in Basel, the I-Gucci Sport is an innovation of this latest timepiece line. The I-Gucci is Gucci’s first digital watch and it has largely been appreciated by fans. This extra large version presents multiple functions, such as a dual chronograph, pedometer, tachymeter, and sailing utilities. A perfect accessory for fashion-conscious sports lovers.

shows refined details. Set on three levels and entirely decorated in warm redwood, a remarkable 180’ Wall Screen greets the visitor at the entrance. The screen presents the latest collections, the Gucci icons, and the handcrafting process of prominent timepieces.

An Artisan Corner completes the area, featuring a presentation of the
timepieces handcrafted by Gucci skilled artisans. Among other
collections to be presented at the Baselworld booth, precious and silver
versions of the Horsebit collection, the new Diamantissima line,
G-Timeless Automatic Chronograph and women’s G-Gucci timepieces.
