The Interlocking Collection brings the famed interlocked double “G” icon
- first used in the Sixties and representing the initials of Guccio
Gucci, the House founder - to a Gucci Timepiece.
The “GG” Icon
In
the Sixties, the Gucci maison had reached international fame, treasured
by some of the most notable personalities of the time. It is around
this time that the legendary interlocking double “G” logo appears, used
for bags, small leather goods, luggage and the first pieces of clothing.
A Milestone Timepiece
Conceived by Creative Director Frida
Giannini, the Interlocking Timepiece Collection adds an important
milestone to the history of Gucci Timepieces. The case of the watch is a
natural setting for the double “G” icon, opening the way to innumerable
variants.
