Gucci presents the new Equestrian Collection, a contemporary
tribute to the equestrian tradition and riding heritage that have
inspired the House for over 90 years through the timeless values of
beauty, grace and nobility.
True to her enduring passion for the equestrian world, Creative Director Frida Giannini has designed a complete capsule collection for women, evolving from the exclusive wardrobe she created for Edwina Alexander, the world’s current number one female horse-jumper, who is sponsored by Gucci.
The
line is part of the Cruise 2013 collection and includes a ready-to-wear
assortment featuring 15 styles, completed by a refined and
well-coordinated selection of accessories. The collection is
characterized by the distinctive symbols of the House: the Gucci Crest,
the horsebit and the green-red-green web stripe.

Carrying forward the sporting glamour of the equestrian world,
this multifunctional wardrobe combines highly technical items for the
most challenging outdoor competitions with classic elegance, making it
perfect for moments off the course as well. The clothing range comprises
riding jackets and pants, shirts and polo tees, all interpreted in innovative and comfortable fabrics such as gabardine techno wool, tricotine bistretch, soft nylon down feather or technical felted jersey and piquet.
The focused color palette features natural and classic tones like black, beige, sky blue and pure white, which underline the ever-lasting wearability.
Completing the outfits are a variety of accessories mirroring the House’s values of fine craftsmanship, superb quality and modern design: the riding boot in plain leather is embellished with the Gucci crest detail and offered in black for easy combination, while a new saddle has been handcrafted in black Guccissima leather, true to the core inspiration of the collection.
