The Gucci Artisan Corner is a new retail event that transports the
craftsmanship of Gucci’s Florentine leather goods factory directly to a
Gucci store near you.
Throughout the year, Gucci artisans tour the
world, stopping off at select stores to take their place at custom-built
Gucci workshops where they assemble and finish some of the House’s most
iconic handbags including the Bamboo, New Jackie, New Pelham and G
Wave.
This initiative offers a unique insight into Gucci’s time
honored traditions as clients can witness first hand the superb
craftsmanship involved in producing every item in Gucci’s leather goods
collection: artisans hand-stitch handles, assemble bamboo handles,
prepare leather strips for woven stitching and hand emboss customer’s
initials during the events.

The Artisan Corner tour started in Naples in 2009 and has since traveled the globe, including Japan, the U.S. and Europe.
To celebrate the tour, in-store events for specially invited clients include mood boards and sketches providing fascinating insights into the development of Gucci’s leather products as they evolve from the drawing board to a finished product. Exclusive archive video footage also showcases Gucci's artisans at work over the years - highlighting skills handed down through family generations.
